Debra Bowen Rees
Debra Bowen Rees has been a Non-Executive Director of the Glas Board since January 2020.
She represents the Board on the Independent Member Selection Panel, which recommends the appointment of Members to the Board. She is also Chair of the Environment, Social and Governance Committee and a Member of the Performance and Safety Committee and Nominations Committee.
She has a wealth of experience in leadership and management, including managing safety-critical, regulated infrastructure. After a successful career and a number of senior positions in the Royal Air Force, Debra joined Cardiff Airport in 2012 as Operations Director, before being appointed Managing Director in 2014. She became the Chief Executive of the Welsh Government-owned airport in 2017 and was responsible for leading the airport through a period of transformational change.
In August 2020, Debra stepped down as Chief Executive of Cardiff Airport and from the Board of Directors in September 2020.
