Covid 19 H&S Risk Assessments

A companywide risk assessment has been produced to document the risks and controls in place due to Covid-19.

It is underpinned by several detailed risk assessments and guidance documents that cover the different aspects of our activities and reflects the increased numbers of colleagues currently working from home.

These have been reviewed by our Trade Union Safety Representatives and published on our company Intranet for access by all colleagues.

The risk assessments cover all office, operational and construction sites and aim to protect employees, contractors, visitors and members of the public. The relevant safe working procedures have been communicated to all those impacted and appropriate signage displayed, where needed.

Alongside this we have clear guidance in place for colleagues to refrain from work if unwell and a process to report any monitor any Covid-19 sickness absence. Where there are vulnerable individuals / colleagues who are shielding – there are individual specific arrangements in place.

These arrangements are being regularly reviewed as further information becomes known about this virus and the modes of transmission. They take into account latest Government requirements and guidance.

We are working with our colleagues, our contract partners, our Trade Union Health and Safety Representatives and water industry peers to monitor our controls and make continual improvements.
