Neil is a Chartered Accountant who worked for PwC for 14 years before joining Welsh Water (then Hyder plc) in 1995. As Head of Taxation he advised on such matters as the acquisition (and subsequent disposal!) of SWALEC and the Windfall Tax in 1997.
Neil joined Glas Cymru as Treasurer early in 2001 and was responsible for all treasury matters including raising finance, through bonds, leases and bank loans to finance the capital programme, maintaining key investor, bank and rating agency relationships and associated credit ratings. He also retained responsibility for taxation and was a leading member of the Water Industry Group which negotiated key industry agreements. Neil retired in 2018 but remains passionate about Glas and the water industry.
